...And As Promised

As I mentioned previously, my friend, Hannah, has an eye for photography.

And as promised, I do have lots of pictures of my animated first-born to share with you over the coming weeks. But here’s something else to tide you over until after our move.

Morenna is becoming quite the sophisticated little Diva. At times she reaches such an extreme that it scares me. She plays the role all too well.

And when I saw this picture Hannah took, I giggled at what a prime example it was of my little lady:

A Little Something to Hold You Over

If you didn’t know, we are preparing to move 400 miles to a new home... closer to family. This has been such an answer to prayer for my husband and I. A prayer more than two years in the making.

Soon I hope to share God’s goodness in directing our steps, but until then you’ll just have to bear with me. Trying to pack up a house with two small children around has been quite a difficult task for me, especially considering that this is the largest move I’ve ever made. In. My. Life.

So while we meander our way through boxes over here, let me tempt your interest with this, the most precious picture I have of Jadyn to date. And I didn’t even take it.

All credit goes to my girlfriend, Hannah. She’s incredible behind a lens... and in front of one, too, if you can catch her. :-)

Whacha think? And yes, I do have pictures to post of my sweet firstborn, too. Not to worry. :-)

Jadyn started cereal the first week of May and loved it!
I’ve since added a little banana to it, which she likes as well.
In this picture, Daddy is trying his hand at feeding without making a mess.
Not too bad!

Time with Grandpa

Morenna & Jadyn spending some quality time with Grandpa John.
Morenna was quite fascinated with Grandpa’s magical ability to pull candy out of her ear. :-)
More candies, Grandpa? More candies from my ear?

Innocent Love

DSC_2756

I’m jealous of the sweet, innocent, bond between sisters.
At least I can capture the beauty on camera.

This was taken during one of our major February 2010 snowstorms.

DSC_2968 I can’t get over Jadyn’s little chipmunk cheeks!

And as usual, her beloved “bink” isn’t far away.

Back in the Saddle Again

Friday my baby arrived back safe and sound after a week-long getaway to the wonderful world of HP. Seeing the FedEx box felt like Christmas all over again! So in honor of that delicious feeling, I bring you "a thousand words" with a bit of a Christmas flair. Can’t quite decide which of these photos is my favorite...

Whoo hoo, it's great to be back in the saddle again!

It Would Happen

It would happen once I decide to embark on a new blogging feature, a thousand words.

Death.

Well, not true death... but it might as well be.

Currently my baby - er, laptop - is somewhere between U.S. coasts. It chose now to develop an attitude of independence as to when it would actually TURN ON! Grrr.

So now I'm stuck attempting to blog on our ancient heifer of a computer that won't even read my memory card. And the "thousand words" that are longing to fly out of my mouth had best fall on a deaf audience.

That said, I bring you some photos - some of my favorite, mind you - that are nevertheless unedited. Forgive their unpolished appearence and please enjoy the show.

***

Today I continue my ode to my husband. We're apart this week and next as he and a college friend prepare to take the bar. I miss him lots, respect him even more... and anxiously await the moment we're back together and back to normal.

Normal. This is normal at our house...
